Letterpress at UAL
It was great to gain access to Central Saint Martin's letterpress library of sorts, which is certainly much bigger than the collection at the University of Michigan. A lot of art schools seem to have sold out most of their letterpress machinery, but thankfully UAL isn't one of them.
It was cool to witness the vibrant design community that is alive within UAL, evidenced by the myriad of students that continue to use the letterpress daily and the wealth of witty, interesting posters hanging around the letterpress.
I was also surprised and interested to learn that digital letterpress is now a [virtual] reality at the touch of a button through an app called Letter Mpress. I haven't tried the app yet, but it is intriguing. I'll have to see if it can produce the same results!
